"The tour was just great! The whole program, all the sights and insights, the local guides, in short the whole trip was a once in a lifetime experience. As you know this was our first trip to PNG and it exceeded our expectations".

Ecotourism Melanesia is a boutique soft adventure inbound tour operators and destination management company specialising in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and the other lesser-known corners of the South Pacific.
Proprietor Aaron Hayes has been promoting and handling tourism in PNG and the South Pacific for the past 25 years, specialising in both well oiled package itineraries available off the shelf at short notice and extensively researched bespoke adventures for intrepid discoverers.
Aaron and his team have an unbeatable knowledge of local culture, geography and travel logistics that they have put to good use in planning a fascinating selection of either escorted or independent tours that bring curious visitors face to face with the culturally diverse tribes and unique natural history of Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific.

With frequent flight connections to South East Asia, Port Moresby is now the preferred gateway to the South Pacific for Asian and European visitors. Air Niugini's neatly connecting flights between "POM" and Port Vila, Honiara and Nadi enable seamless itineraries taking in the entire south west Pacific. Port Vila in turn connects onwards to Noumea, Honiara connects directly to Nauru and Tarawa, and Nadi connects through same-day to Funafuti, Apia and Nuku'Alofa. Within PNG and each other country we service, we design quality, workable itineraries with keen attention to detail. Our friendly guides offer professional service, local knowledge and cultural insight. And rest assured we practise responsible tourism: our tours put cash directly into the pockets of local people. We also handle arrangements for commercial and artistic photographers, film crews, research and medical teams, cruise ships, youth challenge expeditions, volunteer and missionary projects, VIP tourists, business reps, government and diplomatic delegations, air tours and charters, private yachts, round-the-world odyssey groups and "the weird stuff" that other tour operators won't touch.
