EM26 - TAURI RIVER FISHING EXPEDITION 6 NIGHTS
This is a fully resourced fishing expedition including motor boats, all camping gear and quality camp food.
The unspoiled Tauri River is only a 3 hour drive from Port Moresby. The river has abundant freshwater species including catfish upstream and barramundi, black bass and mangrove jack in the lower reaches and estuary. Under an exclusive arrangement with local landowners we are able to bring visiting anglers to fish the meandering main river, its estuary, tributary creeks and associated ox-bow lakes and swamps. This area is far from towns and hotels - accommodation is camping in tents or staying in villages with locals. There is no electricity, no phones, no ice supplies in the area so storage of catch is not possible - you have to either catch-and-eat or catch-and-release.

EM27 - TAURI RIVER FISHING WITH THE LOCALS 6 NIGHTS
This budget fishing package takes you into the homes and dugout canoes of local people along the Tauri River and gives you an opportunity to live off the river catch as they do. The locals cook and eat their catch fresh, or smoke the fish to preserve them. Dry season from May to December is the best time to visit, as rainy season flooding from January to April can make the waters unsuitable for fishing and difficult for canoeing. Although the locals now also make use of small motor boats to move up and down the river – and go fishing – this tour package sticks to paddle canoes and shore fishing both to keep the cost down and to give you a more interactive, traditional fishing experience.

Other fishing packages still in the pipeline include:

Barramundi Hunt - Balimo. Kikori. Baimuru - 7 nights

Black Bass Hunt - Oro and New Britain - 7 nights

Pelagic Hunt - Madang and Kavieng - 7 nights

Troll Your Luck - liveaboard workboat trolling from Alotau to Trobriand Islands - 7 nights (minimum 4 pax)
