Ecotourism Melanesia’s PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Papua New Guinea does not play host to any large international-style beach resorts like Club Med. Beach resorts in PNG are low-key venues focused more on quiet relaxation, snorkelling and beachcombing rather than motorised water sports and nightclubs. There are a number of destinations where visitors can stay in private bungalows on or near the beach. These range from very basic village huts with sandy floors through to upmarket resort bungalows which are essentially hotel rooms with thatched roofs.
