In the evening, an island feast is prepared and young people from the village will perform traditional dances, music and drama for your entertainment. There is no electricity on the island so flame torches, bonfires and tilly lamps will provide an ethereal spotlight as the village people showcase their culture for you in full costume, in the anonymity of the night which tends to bring forth extra-dramatic performances. SPECIFIC TOUR NOTES:

1. The general terms and conditions applicable to this tour are those specified on your invoice and on the Booking page of our website.

2. Destinations are subject to change in response to local conditions. Where travel to a specified destination is contraindicated by local conditions, travel to an alternative destination of similar value with similar activities will be provided where possible, but claims for partial refunds based on quality of substitute activities will not be entertained.

3. Hotel accommodation in Papua New Guinea towns is very limited. In Mt Hagen for example there is only one three and a half star hotel and a number of three star and two and a half star establishments. While we endeavour to book you into the hotels nominated in the tour itinerary, in cases where hotels are fully booked by the time we receive your tour deposit, we may have to book you into alternative hotels. We strive to book you into the best available rooms in each property and we apologise in advance if deluxe rooms are not available and you find yourself booked into a standard room in a hotel of lesser quality. However this is one of the risks of touring in Papua New Guinea, that you accept, and no refunds or partial refunds will be issued on the basis of the quality of hotel rooms provided for you while on tour.

4. All accommodation included in the tour package at the rack rate quoted is twin-share. On payment of a single supplement of an additional 10% of the rack rate, we will arrange single occupancy for you wherever single rooms are available. No partial refund on the single supplement is claimable for destinations where single occupancy is not available or not provided, ie we will do our best but no promises and cccno refunds.

5. Tour group size is 15 pax plus 1 tour escort (Ecotourism Melanesia staff). Where the number of bookings for the tour exceeds 25, two parallel tour groups will be operated rather than increasing the group size, due to limited size of charter aircraft, buses etc. Where the number of confirmed bookings for this tour is less than 10 by the end of May 2006, the tour will be cancelled and deposits refunded.

6. (B,L,D) refers to breakfast, lunch or dinner where included in the tour cost. Other meals can be paid for in cash or with credit card direct to the hotel or restaurant).
